Budae jjigae  (Army stew) is easy to make. You can’t go wrong with the fusion of american processed ingredients and korean items. It consists of our Army Stew Paste (Gochujang), Sausage, Spam, Baked Bean, Kim Chi, Chicken Cubes, Tteokbokki, Sliced Onions, Golden Straw Mushroom and Chilled Firm Toufu. Budae is a general term for army, hence the translation into Army stew, which is an immensely popular dish. 

* Things to take note:

  • Packaging: Polybag
  • Outer packaging: Aluminium Pot with cover
  • Instructions: Place packaging in the chiller for overnight thawing. For quick defrost, polybag packaging with contents can be placed in hot water bath for 20 minutes
  • Recommended heating:
    1. Remove all the ingredients and place them in the aluminium pot.
    2. Pour in water up to 3/4 of the pot, approximately 400 ml for 1-2 pax and 1200 ml for 4-5 pax.
    3. Bring to a boil and enjoy, do an occasional stir to prevent sticking to the base of the pot.
  • Storage Condition: Keep Chilled between 0 - 4 degree Celcius

  • Remember: The aluminium pot is not suitable for induction stove.
    Tips: For a faster boil, you may wish to pour hot water to speed up the cooking process. Do remember to only add the noodles at the end when the soup is boiling.
    Optional: For outdoor cooking and convenient, you may wish to purchase the fuel and stand for a special outdoor picnic experience.
